Bowen Therapy is a very gentle, hands-on complementary therapy that aims to promote the best possible health and movement of the body. Light moves are made with fingers and thumbs to aid relaxation and relieve tension.
I have been a Bowen Therapist since 2005, treating people and dogs at my busy practice in North Somerset.
My passion is to help people and dogs to achieve good health and happiness. There is nothing better than seeing a person or dog moving more freely and enjoying life again after physical or emotional problems have eased. I am fascinated by the positive changes brought about by treating the body as a whole, and working in a subtle way to guide the body to better health.
I am a full member of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association (BTPA) and the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists (EGCBT).
Over the eight years I've been in practice the way I work has changed and evolved. My experience allows me to assist in more complicated cases where veterinary prognosis is poor, where no diagnosis can be made, or in situations in which anxiety may be the underlying cause of symptoms. I have developed a particular interest in helping dogs with fear issues and working with dogs with degenerative health conditions. An area of special importance to me is Bowen for palliative care (helping dogs as they approach the end of their lives).
I work full-time in Bowen - appointments available Monday to Friday.
Thermal imaging of a dog before and after Bowen treatment shows how the body responds to treatment. More information here: Thermal Imaging
